Consultation
Understanding the process of starting a remodeling project on your home can be overwhelming. For an hourly fee, GDI can come to your home and walk you through the steps of getting a project off the ground with no obligation to use GDI for the project. Typical questions we address: Do I need an architect? What will general range of costs be? How do I interpret/compare contractor bids? As a consumer what protection should I have included in the contract? How do I secure a permit? Will I need a variance for my project? Where do we find vendors for finish materials? (tiles, plumbing fixtures, electrical fixtures, etc.)
Home Inspection
Many houses are now selling with no inspection. For a set price, GDI offers to walk through an open house with you to assess a home’s general condition, and also to give ballpark costs on improvements you would anticipate making to the property so that you can adjust your bid accordingly.
